Swimming and beaches

The Azores is first and foremost an encounter with nature. The island offers numerous hiking trails and incredible swimming spots, with natural pools carved out of the rocks, sheltered bays and open sea areas equipped with infrastructures, where you can swim in complete safety.

The Green Island is famous for its volcanic lakes, botanical gardens and hot springs.

The Sete Cidades lake, with its emerald and azure waters, is a sight not to be missed. The island's many hiking trails are the best way to enjoy breathtaking scenery.
