Ceramic Workshop
Maison Emeraude offers a one-week introductory workshop to pottery wheel techniques.
The 7-day program includes 5 three-hour ceramics classes, with the remaining free time dedicated to exploring São Miguel Island and enjoying this idyllic setting.
With a total of 15 hours, hands-on approach and a small class size, our private course offers a guided introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Rinat Burg, a ceramic artist and the founder of atelier Matéria Prima, provides personalised guidance to challenge and extend each participant’s ability at the pottery wheel. Small groups of up to 4 students allow for personal guidance at every step. No prior experience needed — just patience, curiosity, and a willingness to lean into the process.
